Overview

This trip combines culture and history with a breathtakingly beautiful trek through the less frequented areas of Bhutan.

You have the opportunity to experience pristine forests, glimpses of wildlife and spectacular views of the 7314 m peak Jomolhari all amidst a varied Bhutanese landscape.

Meet the local people, and observe the ancient old traditions of arts and crafts before returning to capital Thimphu for sightseeing and shopping of locally made handicrafts.

Itinerary

Day 1. Arrive Paro. 
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel o/n at hotel.

Day 2. Paro sightseeing 
Sightseeing including Drukgyel Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, and the Ta Dzong

Day 3. Paro Excursion to Taktsang Monastery
Excursion to view one of the major highlights of Bhutan, the spectacular Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) monastery.

Day 4 - Day 9 Trek

Day 10. Shana - Paro – Thimphu 
Last day of the trek, your transport is waiting for at Drukgyal Dzong to take you to Thimphu the capital of Bhutan

Day 11 Thimphu Sightseeing
Sightseeing includes National Memorial Chorten, the National Library, Painting School Traditional Medicine Institute, Tashichho Dzong, and visit the Handicrafts Emporium.

Day 12. Thimphu - Punakha
A 3 hour drive to Punakha via Dochula pass which offers spectacular views before visiting Punakha Dzong

Day 13. Punakha – Thimphu
Return to Thimphu, arriving before lunch. After lunch drive to Paro, visiting Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fort of Bhutan on the way.

Day 14. Paro departure
